Eligibility criteria
Emergency funds may be provide to Blues artists who meet the following requirements:
Demonstrate active involvement in performing, promoting and preserving the Blues tradition
Reside or work primarily in the Delta region
Face urgent, time-sensitive needs such as:
Medical emergencies - physical or behavioral health-related crisis
Housing instability (rent, utilities, eviction prevention)
Loss of essential instruments or equipment due to accident, theft, or disaster
Funeral or bereavement support
Other extraordinary circumstances that threaten the artists livelihood or well-being
Application process
Artist must complete and submit the form contained on this page. Requests are reviewed by the Ground Zero Arts Foundation funding committee. All requests are treated with respect and discretion. Maximum emergency grant amount is $1,500 per incident. Payments will be made directly to service providers (healthcare provider, landlord, etc.) to ensure funds are used as intended. The review process will happen within 3-5 business days and the artist may be contacted to provide additional information. If approved, funds will be disbursed within 10 business days.
